Role of microelements in seed breeding of lucerne and oriental galega
In southern regions of Belarus soil and climatic conditions allow to grow the seeds of lucerne and oriental galega. Studying the influence of microelements on the yield of lucerne seeds shows that this yield depends on the choice of a variety: the variety Belorusskaya has a great advantage over the variety Zaykevich, at the same time the variety Prevoshodnaya has advantage over the variety Belorusskaya. When Borium is used for top dressing of Lucerne and is applied to soil, it turns to be the best of all the microelements to be studied, because the yield of Lucerne seeds increases and the quality of seeds improves. The yield of oriental galega seeds of the variety Polesskaya is very high when boric fertilizers are applied at shooting stage.

Comparative productivity of maize hybrids of different groups in the process of for cultivation for grain in the central part of Belarus
The results of three-year researches on the evaluation of productivity of maize hybrids of western breeding in the central part of Belarus are presented in the article. In the process of cultivation for grain the optimum maturity group was identified. Correlations between yield and parameters influencing it (seed germination, plant height, dry matter content, length of the period from shoots to ear flowering, resistance to lodging, affecting by corn smut) were revealed.

Efficiency of herbicides 2,4-D and 2M-4X group in winter grain crops protection
The experimental data of 26 trials show that when winter grain crops are prevalently infested by weed plants sensitive to phenoxy acids (Chenopodium album, Сapsella bursa-pastoris, Thlaspi arvense, wind-fallen Brassica and etc.), 2,4-D herbicidal activity is manifested at sufficiently high level – 90–100%. When in winter grain crop agrocoenosis the resistant to this herbicidal group weeds present (Galeopsis tetrahit, Stellaria media, Viola arvensis, Galium aparine, Sonchus arvensis, Cirsium arvense, Tripleurospermum inodorum) the efficiency of the given herbicides is decreased up to 10–50%. Regarding not very high cost (10–15 $ USD/ha) of cultivation the use of pure herbicides of this group on the fields infested with windfall (Brassica, Chenopodium album, Сapsella bursa-pastoris, Thlaspi arvense, Papaver rhoeas) is economically justified. Also these herbicides mixed with other groups can be used on the fields with a high level of infestation.

Physical and chemical characteristics and organoleptic evaluation of meat and fat of different genotypes of pigs
A positive effect of boars of meat breeds yorkshire, duroc and landrace on physical and chemical meat and fat properties of the obtained crosses is established. The tendency to the decrease of moisture content in the meat of the four experimental groups: (BGWxBM)xD, (BGWxBM)xL, (BMxL)xD and (BMxL)xL by 1.1, 1.8, 2.1% at P < 0.05, 2,7% at P < 0.001, and the increase of intramuscular fat content by 0.76% (P < 0.01), 0.96% (P < 0.01), 1,.6% (P < 0.001), 1.66% (P < 0.001) is identified. The average score of organoleptic evaluation of the meat of animals of experimental groups is within 4.42–4.77 scores, what means “meat of high and very high quality”.

Fattening and meat indices of the new plant type of pigs “berezinsky” in belarusian meat breed
The application of new breeding methods in a breed forming process enables to form and get highly productive genotypes in pig breeding within a short period of time. These genotypes are characterized by high indices of fattening and meat qualities. Study of the productivity indices of animals of the new plant type “berezinsky” witness about rather high indices of fattening and meat qualities: age of reaching 100 kg of weight is about 174.4 days, average daily weight gain – 825 g, forage spends per 1 kg of gain – 3.28 forage units, backfat thickness – 18 mm, weight of rear half-third part of carcass – 11.4 kg, loin area – 43.5 cm2 and meat content in carcass – 63.4%. Correlations researches show that meat qualities of carcasses of the new plant type of pigs may be precisely (P < 0.01; P < 0.001) estimated on its content in separate cuts and first of all in hock.
